Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
This document is a starting template. It hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer and isn’t legal advice. Have qualified legal counsel review it and adapt it for your entity and jurisdiction before you launch or rely on it.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Current service operated by [Current legal entity] (“Current”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, generating an API key, or sending a request through our API, you agree to these Terms. If you’re using Current on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
01Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract to use Current. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and you must notify us promptly at contact@currentinference.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
02Description of the service
Current is an OpenAI-compatible inference marketplace. When you send a request, Current scores eligible third-party offers on price, latency, uptime, liquidity, and health, then forwards your request to the selected provider’s endpoint and returns that provider’s response to you. Current is a marketplace intermediary that matches buyers with independent seller offers. We’re not the model provider. We don’t train or host the underlying models, and we don’t control the outputs those models generate. Availability, pricing, behavior, and quality are all set by the third-party providers.
03Acceptable use
You agree not to use Current, and not to allow anyone using your account to:
- send, generate, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others;
- create content that is abusive, harassing, or that exploits or endangers minors;
- use Current in a way that violates an applicable third-party provider’s terms or usage policies;
- attempt to break, probe, overload, or circumvent our routing, rate limits, or security controls;
- abuse credits or promotional balances, for example by creating multiple accounts to claim repeat free credit;
- reverse engineer the service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law;
- resell or expose raw access to the API in a way that lets third parties bypass these Terms.
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe use violates these Terms, threatens the integrity of the service, or exposes us or a provider to legal or financial risk.
04API keys and account security
API keys are issued from your dashboard and shown only once at creation. Keys authenticate as you, so keep them secret and server-side. You’re responsible for usage and charges incurred with your keys, including by anyone you give them to. You can revoke a key from the dashboard at any time, and revoked keys stop working immediately. Notify us at contact@currentinference.com if you suspect a key has been leaked.
05Prepaid billing and credits
Current is prepaid. You add a balance by card or stablecoin (for example USDC), and usage is metered per request based on the provider price plus our routing fee, as shown in the dashboard and in the response transparency object. When your balance reaches zero, further requests are declined until you top up.
Credits represent prepaid value for use of the service. They are not money, do not earn interest, and may have a stated expiry. Promotional or free credits may carry additional conditions and can be revoked if obtained through abuse. Except where a refund is required by applicable law, all payments and unused credits are non-refundable. We may change prices and the routing fee on a going-forward basis, and material changes will be reflected in the dashboard and documentation.
06Third-party providers
To fulfill a request, Current forwards it to a third-party model provider, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Together, Fireworks, and others we add over time. Your use of those models is also subject to the relevant provider’s terms and usage policies. We are not responsible for provider outages, changes, deprecations, content policies, or model outputs. The set of providers and models available through Current may change without notice.
07Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure, or that model outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose. You are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them.
08Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Current and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
09Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Current and its officers, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the service, your content or requests, or your violation of these Terms or of any third-party provider’s terms or applicable law.
10Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service, our providers, or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends, and sections that by their nature should survive (including billing, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts located in [jurisdiction] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
